What we collect
- Usage counts. Which screens are viewed and which buttons are tapped, tied only to a random id that lives in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. No cookies of our own, no IP addresses stored, no advertising trackers.
- Your email, only if you type it in, to send you what you asked for.
- Quote requests, only if you send one: first name (optional), phone or email, ZIP code and the job. We use them to find you local quotes and share them only with up to two local professionals for that job.
- Photos, only if you use the camera. Location data is removed on your phone first. The photo is sent once to Anthropic, our AI provider, to name the job, and is not stored or logged by us. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms.
Other companies on this site
- YouTube how-to videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode. When a video is shown, your browser loads YouTube’s player code from youtube.com (so YouTube can tell us if a video has been removed), and YouTube may set cookies when you play it, under Google’s privacy policy.
- Amazon product links open Amazon’s site. Some may earn us a commission; when they do, the card says so.
- Our data is stored with Supabase, the site runs on Cloudflare, and quote requests are emailed to us through Resend.
How long we keep it
Usage counts and emails until you ask us to delete them. Quote requests are deleted after 12 months. Photos are not kept at all.
Children
FixQuote is for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
